Go over to the bottom right and open the Material tab (it looks like a circle divided in four.). Make sure you have your object selected, not the rig. It should be in the same location as your DAE file. Now that that is open, click on ”open” and locate and open your image. If you’re working without a uv/image editor tab open, you’re gonna need to add one to your scene. YAY! Let’s add a texture to a white blob! Adding The Texture Click on the little pencil (or eye dropper) and click “rig”. This is the Modifier tab, and it should only have one thing there, an Armature Modifier. With the sim selected, look to the bottom right for a blue wrench ( or spanner depending on where you live.). Now the object is within the rig, but it’s not attached to it. It will prompt a option list with the title “Set Parent To”. Now we have an empty rig! Now click the ‘+’ next to the rig that says “Rig.001″, that’s our sim! Drag the sim object to the blank rig. Click on delete ( DO NOT CLICK ON DELETE HIERARCHY BECAUSE IT WILL DELETE THE RIG AS WELL. Now, while holding shift, click on each of the high lighted objects and right click on them to get an options list. It should show a drop down list that has object and the actual rig in it.Ĭlick the cursor (If you somehow do not know what that is, it looks like your mouse ) next to the highlighted objects to enable the objects to be selected. Press the ‘+’ next to the rig on the right side of the screen. That’s good! We’ll fix that texture in a second. Now you should have a white, textureless, blob.
